This organization is the driving force to develop the LEED rating system to ascertain whether a structure has met the criteria to designate it as 'green-friendly'. The masonry industry is committed to developing good business practice to be a beneficial building product that will be a factor in meeting future LEED designation as a certified renewable resource.

In every case, this is not simple 'tree hugging, but very good business.

Belden Brick Sales and Service is at the very forefront of that movement by being the first-ever clay/shale fired masonry manufacturer or supplier to gain acceptance for membership in the prestigious United States Green Building Council. As a member of this organization, we bring more awareness of the simple unassuming brick as being perhaps the most green of all building supplies. A brick structure contributes to gaining valuable points towards achieving 'green' status and is entirely environmentally safe and renewable as well as energy efficient.
